Antoine GAUDEMET
Professor of Law, Panthéon-Assas University

Antoine GaudemetAntoine GAUDEMET is a Full Professor in Private Law at the Panthéon-Assas University where he heads the M.B.A. in Business Law and Management and the Compliance Officer Diploma.

A graduate in Law and Economics, he earned his PhD from the University Panthéon-Assas in 2008 with a major work on financial derivatives. Prior to joining the Panthéon-Assas University, he was a professor at the University of Rennes from 2009 to 2013.

He teaches French and European financial, banking and corporate law, both in French and English. His current academic work focuses on financial, banking and compliance issues.

He was a member of the French delegation in charge of negotiating the Unidroit close-out netting core principles in 2013 and the French delegate to Uncitral Working Group I on Micro, small and medium enterprises from 2014 to 2019.

He is the author of « The Law on Financial Derivatives » which was awarded several prizes (Oscar du Droit des Sociétés et de la Bourse, Prix de l’Association Européenne de Droit Bancaire et Financier, Prix Albert Wahl de la Chancellerie des Universités, Prix de l’Université Panthéon-Assas).

He regularly acts as an expert or an arbitrator in corporate and financial matters.
